More on cars

I think I should look at all manufacturers and see if they offer anything that I like.

Alfa Romeo:
- I'm not a fan of their general styling. The Brera is ok.

Aston Martin:
- Love them, but they're completely out of my price range.

Audi:
- My biggest problem with Audi is the idiots that drive them. Every single time I drive on the M6 some Audi moron drives up my arse. The A1 and A3 are ok - if a bit boring looking. At least they're well made.

BMW:
- They used to have the same reputation as Audi - but seem to have shaken it. The 1-series and 3-series both fit the bill. They're very well built and feel luxurious.

Citroen:
I'm only considering the DS3.

Fiat:
I just don't like the styling of any Fiat. The 500/500c is supposed to be very good, but it's too small and too cute. The 500 Blackjack is nice.

Ford:
-

Honda:
- CR-Z (Hybrid), Civic 3 Door.

Hyundai:
-

Isuzu:
-

Jaguar:
- Too expensive.

Kia:
-Hmmm...no. I want some street cred.

Land Rover:
- Too big

Mazda:
- The MX5 is the only model I like.

Mini:
- I think they spoilt the styling of the new mini. However, it's still a great car. Having owned a Cooper S, I know they're great cars to drive and well built.

Mitsubishi:
-

Nissan:
- All the cars I love are out of my price range. The 370Z is very nice. The Juke looks interesting and is affordable - needs more investigation.

Peugeot:
- The RCZ is very nice. Having owned a 206 I know that the build quality isn't great, but they do drive very well. The RCZ is surprisingly affordable...I might be sold!

Porsche
- Far too expensive. They're a bit boring to drive too...having been able to drive a 996 and a 997 for around 2-3 years I know what I'm talking about. They're just too good...there's no excitement (other than the speed).

Proton:
- No

Renault:
- The top spec Clio and Megane are very nice. Unfortunately the Clio screams CHAV!

Saab:
- Nothing grabs my fancy.

Seat:
- Having owned a Leon, I know they're good cars. However, the styling really doesn't work for me anymore.

Skoda:
- I'm not a fan of the new styling. I liked the older Fabia, but they just look a bit bland now. Build quality is very good, but not luxurious. The new Fabia vRS is the only one I'd consider. The Octavia is nice, but I don't want a big car.

Suzuki:
- Yuck. A full range of cutesy cars...not for me.

Toyota:
- Yawn. That is all.

VW:
- I like the Scirocco...but the rest of the range is dull. I guess the Polo GTi is ok for a supermini.

Volvo:
- I only like the C30.

Which Car?

I'm thinking of changing my car. I currently own a Lotus Elise, but it's 5 years old and getting a bit long in the tooth. I'm not really in a position to buy another sports car, but I also mostly do motorway driving these days, so it's not really ideal anyway. I'd like to cut down on fuel costs but also enjoy a bit more cabin comfort (e.g. decent sound system). I don't want something slow or boring, but a good compromise instead. Age is causing me to slow down...another reason to consider something with a bit more comfort rather than performance. How boring am I?!

The current contenders are:

Citroen DS3:

Volvo C30:
